I am looking for a note taking application (for college), similar to Microsoft's One Note. Does anyone have any suggestions? Ideally, obviously it would be free but if it is under or around $20, i would be willing to pay.

When is Apple going to come out with iSchool to go with iWork and iLife! As most of their new market is college students it would make a ton of sense!

THANK YOU!

Gosh, there are so many note taker applications for Mac it is really difficult to know where to start. At the top end, there is CP Notebook which is a fantastic app and frighteningly powerful but costs more than you want to spend, Omnioutliner is also very powerful but more favourably priced. VoodooPad is much more free form but so brilliant it makes you want to weep with joy, especially the FREE 'lite' version - can't complain at free. DevonNote is also worth a look.

Other options are Mori, Yojimbo, Together, Dossier, MacJournal, Journler......check here to see what fits you best:

I was playing with VoodooPad yesterday and I thought it would have been great to have when I was in school. I'm actually looking for reasons to use it I enjoyed it so much.

The "lite" version seems to be ample for your needs, so give it a try and work through their tutorial and see what you think.
