Note taking software on os x

What is the best program for taking notes in class with my laptop? I'm looking for something that handles bullets and outlines well and also has the capability of easily drawing shapes.

I use Pages, but have heard good things about VoodooPad 🙂

I use omnioutliner (which comes preinstalled on a macbook) and it works great. It is pretty hopeless if you need to make drawings though.
