Hello guys. I am new to this forum and MAC world. Just today I got my new MBP 13" base model (SSD and RAM upgrade order - done!). And just before my studies starts I want to get a good note taking software, to be able to take notes during my lectures. Basically what I need is a lightweight app which lets me to take and save notes fast with some additional drawing if required. Anny suggestions? Thanks in advance.

If you also have an iPhone, you can grab the free Whitelines Link app, and download a free PDF for the paper (journal and letter sizes available), which you can then print out. Once you've taken your handwritten notes, you can scan via the app, and toss to Evernote or DropBox. Evernote will make the handwritten notes searchable. But, that may require a Premium account -- not sure. You can read about it at http://bit.ly/PPU4Cm . (Download links appear in that article.) FWIW, Evernote has teamed with Moleskine for a similar offering, but those notebooks have not yet shipped.
