Notebook Cooler for MBP

I know many people have complained about the MBPs getting very hot. Would a notebook cooler, such as this, help any? I'm planning on getting the 17", but I know it's going to get pretty hot if I play games for a few hours. Do those coolers actually help, or are they a temp solution?

Wow that lapinator is really cool, but how does it keep the system cool? I'm not seeing any fans or anything 😕 but that mouse part is really kool.

A notebook cooler will help depending on the situation (I have a vantec lapcool). Dont expect cooler temperates while playing a game, your MBP will get taxed and little fans pushing room air can only do so much. It is however really helpful in getting your laptop cooler quickly after heavy usage.

Fongman: Like steelfist said, its not really a cooler. But it does elevate it a tad and Im sure the thing absorbs heat away. 🙂

I like that one too. I had originally been planning on buying the iLap, but the Stand and the Lapinator both seem better and cheaper. I like how the Stand is a cooler, but I like how the Lapinator can be placed on your lap.
Anybody else know of anything else before I make my decision?

Oh ok i get you, it was puzzling me cause it said 95% .....oh blocks 95% laptop heat....i dunno what that means 😛

I think it means that it blocks 95% of the heat from reaching your lap when you have it resting on your lap...

I don't think it means that it reduces the heat for your laptop by 95%... That's just total bs...
