WHICH IS FASTER? Thunderbolt Bus Powered 2.5" or USB 3.0 Bus Powered 2.5" Storage?

    http://barefeats.com/hard168.html

Features the fastest TB and/or USB3 notebook storage units from LaCie, Seagate, Elgato, and FirmTek. All but one is bus powered.

Couple of observations about the article:

    1. Would have been interesting to have recorded CPU usage during the tests - one of the claims in the TBvsUSB war is that USB3 has higher CPU load.

    2. Were the SSDs in both the LBD and MiniSwap identical? Not made clear.

    3. Some of the write speeds were faster than the read speeds. Seems a little odd, especially with SSDs - any explanation?
