Notes App not syncing with Mac?

I cannot sync my Notes list of the iPhone with my mac....is it because my Iphone is on IOS9 and my Mac on Yosemite?

Absolutely ! I did the same and now have to wait for El Capitan

Gee, the message it gave you when you opened the Notes app for the first time wasn't an indication?

If i am not mistaken it aksed me if i want only icloud notes and thats what i opted for.... no problemo mate.... i will wait for el capitan 🙂.... i barely use my mac these days.

Nope ! Too happy to have finally been able to update after all the error messages 🙂

The message I got told me it wouldn't until Mac got updated - so I didn't update yet.

I don't remember it giving specifics about updates. I just updated my mac to OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, so I assumed it meant that.
So when is this next mac update?
& Is there a way to reverse it to just icloud sync for now?

Yes.

I did not do the upgrade since it tells me that i wouldn't be able to sync with my Macs if I do this and the Macs aren't on El Capitan.

When did it ever?

I always had my safari history synced between mac and iphone on yosemite and iOS8. It was very handfull to delete my History entries from the iPhone.
