Is the ‘Locked’ option in the Notes app secure enough to store passwords and other sensitive data?
Currently use a password manager but thinking of just using Notes and Keychain.
Keychain on IOS appears not to have a notes function though from what I understand?

I use iCloud Keychain so our passwords synchronizes to all devices. And I use the Locked notes to store passwords and other secure stuff. - Until Locked Notes became possible I used 1Password to store additional information and data because 1Password could synchronize to iPhone/iPad. But now, as Locked Notes can be used to synchronize to all devices I have moved away from 1Password.

I think that we should consider Locked Notes as at least as secure as apps like 1Password or Lastpass. Also without the "Advanced Data Protection" which is only available in the US (and I live en Europe).

Should be secure, with usual caveat of only as good as the passcode you choose for Notes and iCloud and device, as Notes are end-to-end encrypted.

Decided to give it a go and moved my most used accounts over to start with.
Good point about the passcode though, as I use the device passcode which wasn’t that strong, so changed it on the devices I use.
I actually used different passcodes on each device but the notes are all shared, but I assume it works out somehow.

Minor issue currently as I also have a Windows laptop and can’t get the Windows iCloud app to ‘Approve’ to use the passwords on it. Seems to be a fairly common issue….
