How is Notes still not on Apple Watch???

I use notes all the times, grocery lists, reminders, to do lists, recipes. How is notes not built into Watch OS yet? It would be so simple to be in the grocery store and be able to scroll through the list checking things off as you go instead of pulling out your phone, going with the hassle of putting in the passcode, only to check 2 things off.

Just surprised no one at Apple has thought of this or built it already.

Maybe I'm not understanding the question...
I open my reminder groceries list on the watch without pulling out my phone.
Then tap the items to check them off one at a time.

Never tried to use reminders app for grocery list. The wife and I use Notes, which we can share and both edit. Easier for us.

We use a shared Notes list in our house too. Thus, the "unlock iPhone with Apple Watch when wearing a mask" was the thing I was looking forward to most in the recent update. Seems to work well and doesn't matter than it doesn't work for Apple Pay, as I can do that from my watch without FaceID anyway... I was bored of having to enter a passcode several times in the supermarket just to look at my shopping list.

If having the grocery list on your watch is something you'd find useful, I"d recommending trying to use Reminders. My wife & I use a shared reminders list in the same way that you & your wife use notes. It's shareable, works great, and works on the watch.

I'm not disagreeing about having Notes on the watch, but I'm just to sure it's ever going to happen. For grocery lists especially, I've found reminders to be a good alternative.

+1 to just use reminders. My wife and I preferred notes for shopping lists but yeah no support on the watch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My wife and I use the OurGroceries app. It lets us keep our shopping lists in sync, and has apps for the Apple Watch, iPad, iPhone, and a web interface.

I'm stunned they're adding a keyboard to the Apple Watch, but the Notes app is still MIA.

Use reminders! Easy to access list format on the Watch when shopping AND you can ask Siri to “Add ____ to my shopping list” on any of your devices.
