Notes: On My Mac missing

Hi,

I’m wondering how I can get back the folder for notes that are not to be synced with iCloud. Right now, I do only have iCloud synced notes and folder are automatically created in this section.

Is it really that hard to achieve something that basic?

Bring Back On My Mac

Had the same problem. The choice is:
Keep Notes only on your Mac
Share notes via iCloud
To get On My Mac back go to:
System Preferences -> Mail Contacts and Calendars
Select iCloud and uncheck Notes in which case 'On My Mac' will come back in 'Notes'
Intuitively obvious Ha

That’s a very bad solution of Apple, though. Not only the way to set it up, but also the fact that online and offline notes can’t co-exist.

Agreed, I'm finding lots of items like this, bad influence of iOS over OS X since I just upgraded from 10.6 to 10.8
