okay, so I've looked on versiontracker and after trying three different text editors, I'm nearing the end of my rope. I'm not a programmer, I just need a proggie where I can open multiple text files with a small memory footprint. anyone have any suggestions for me?

edit: I'm looking for a Mac os proggie, not a PC one. The one that I used on a PC was/is notetab pro. I'd like something equivalent. thanks in advance.

What OS? If OS X, use TextWrangler by Bare Bones Software. http://www.barebones.com

EDIT: Sorry didn't read for PC... um... small amount of memory, how much are we talking about? - I'm trying out NoteTab Light, but it looks like you have NoteTab Pro... umm....

Crimson Editor - http://www.crimsoneditor.com/ - its free, its tabbed, and it takes low low requirements

EDIT2: I opened over 150+ text files and it only took 9MB of RAM

I like both TextWrangler and SubEthaEdit (weird name, I know). I used to use EditPad+ on the PC. I think I like TextWrangler better.
