I like that they are trying to push some boundaries.

Never was a fan of the glyph matrix. Thought it was extremely gimmicky.

I kind of like the led display but they should have made it at least twice as big and a better resolution so it could have been fun and useful. As it is, it is just a gimmick.

I like the 3 50mp camera setup.

The screen is a no go for me as flagship at this price need to offer gorilla armor glass with ar coating. Could use 1st Gen. I don't care about LTPO vs the cheaper tech because of the large battery. I do care about the glass. One of the things iPhone does better.

The processor is a big deal. Using an 8s whatever that is vs an SD elite is very disappointing.

Overall it still feels more like a Pixel a series rather than a true flagship. It has like 80% of a flagship with 100% price with a few unique twists and decent software.

At $599 I would consider it but for $799 it just isn't a great deal. When you consider availability of aftermarket accessories, resale value, and deals Samsung offers or even Apple's low trade in value for a new iPhone I don't think these will sell very well.

They need to offer a flagship for less than a flagship or lower the MSRP. You would think the guy who helped create a flagship killer doesn't understand this premise. Until your brand is established and has a good reputation you have to lower profit margins. Look at Xiaomi. It is the story of their success by limiting profits and selling hardware for less than anyone else.

You can't go toe to toe with inferior hardware and charge the same price. I get there are some specs better on NP3 but not enough in my opinion. The display on the back I think is cool but not enough.

They are heading in the right direction but in this economy people are going to spend more carefully and conservatively which might make them want a safe bet over something "fun".

I've been a 2a user for a while now and I really like the Nothing aesthetic. It's nice to support a homegrown company and I've been to their store in Soho a couple of times although I wish they'd move it to Kensington High Street; Soho is a nightmare on the best of days with far to many tourists around! The £30 CMF Buds are a la good as any Airpods I've ever owned.

On the new phone? It might grow on me. It's a shame the Glyphs are gone completely (although it still looks like they kept one above the camera flash?) but the Matrix display could be quite handy for playing down a self timer or keeping an eye on some status without digging into your phone and being tempted to play with it.

On any other phone id say the camera layout really doesn't matter as you never look at the rear but on a Nothing it's kinda of the point! I'll wait and see the reviews before commenting on anything else though.

The main issue that MKBHD mentions is the glass is not the good quality that you would expect from a flagship and you are supposed to put this phone face down on the desk to use the glyph matrix. If there are any long term reviews posted in a few months, I wonder if they will all show this phone being scratched to hell.

Why do they focus on putting the phone face-down so much? Everything we need is on the front of the screen and the rest is covered by a case.
