Apps Notice some apps not working on S4?

I have noticed some of my apps not working on the Series 4...anyone else notice this too? It id odd that they are installed but won't show up on my complication list so I cannot add them to the face.

You can if the apps are updated, or so it's said.

How long before apps are updated? This is my first AW. Just curious about historically when new OS or hardware is released how long it normally takes.
