Noticed something strange with the display on my new 17 Pro Max

Getting to know my new 17 Pro Max I noticed that the image on the screen seemed to move side to side when I moved my phone. Also, How do I shut the screen off without shutting the phone down? On my 16 PM I just press in the side power button and screen goes off, Not so with the 17 Pro Max. I am hoping it's just a setup option.

Those are both features of newer iPhones.

is it just freezing like that in teh app switcher? did you restart your iPhone ?
