Notification Center: item won't disappear

Hi,

I have an item in Reminders.app which won't disappear from Notification Center. It's been 40+ days... I even deleted the item in Reminders but it's still appearing in Notification Center.
Is there any way to "clear" Notification Center?

EDIT: also there is no "x" to disregard the item so it always stays in NC.

Try restarting your computer?

In Settings, take Reminders out of Show in Notification Center, then add it back?

Do you have another device logged in to the same iCloud account? If so, go to the reminders app on that device and make sure it's deleted.
