Hi , I’ve been using iOS 26.3 RC since it launched but I still dont understand how this new « notification forwarding » to smartwatch work 🤔
I’ m in France so it should work , but in Notifications there is no « forwarding to another device » option
Any idea how it should work?
Thanks

I think Apple was just building the groundwork for it. When it does go live, I imagine there is still work to be done on the side of the watch manufacturers to do app or firmware updates to handle the notifications and pairing and all that.

Garmin has updated its connect app recently, the watch is now displayed differently in the Bluetooth setting

Hi,
for me, the option was only present in 26.3 beta 1. It was removed after.
I tried to make it work in b1 with a Samsung Galaxy Watch, but the feature was not implemented I think.

Any new news or some info??
The removed code has been put back in 26.4db1. Just not sure if it does anything yet or is still just a test.

I'm not quite sure what this is supposed to do? Notifications are already forwarded to my Garmin, and have been for years, since the iPhone 5 and 6 era.

You can FINALLY choose WHICH notifications are being sent to the watch and which are not. I'm glad someone (thanks EU!) pressured Apple to stop feeding every bs of a notification to our wrists. Also jumped to a 26.4 db1 because this solely is enough for me to upgrade from 18 and kinda bummed it is not available even though reviews say otherwise *shrug*.

I hope this eventually makes its way to the US, because I really like my round Pixel watch and its watch faces a lot better than Apple's

That is great!! It's only in the EU, though, no?

okay iOS 26.4 rolled out here in EU, notification forwarding should be a thing, alas it is NOT. Anyone in EU got any luck with it?

Update: notification forwarding is now present 26.5 db, although Apple now blames Garmin for not being able to filter which notifications should be forwarded to the device (doubt)🙃.

It is there in RC , but for now it is still as Michaela said , no way to choose which app you want notifications from , it is all or nothing
