Notification sound issue?

I am new to iphone (longtime android convert) anywho, I can't get my KIK message notification sound to change as well as my Facebook. I went to the notification center and can only select on or off, but no type of notification sound? I tried in the sounds and can't change it there either?!? Please advise. I have the iphone 5s. Thanks in advance

I believe sounds for 3rd party apps are controlled by those apps, I don't think they can be changed by the user.

bummer, it sounds like the door bell notification is what I get.

yea those 3rd party apps cant have their sounds changed from their default ringtones.
