    Hi,

I received my watch on Friday and am really enjoying it.

Yesterday, the notifications seemed to work fine. However, today, whenever I get a text, it buzzes my phone then about 10 seconds later appears on the watch.

I've restarted both to no avail. It's really quite annoying. Anyone have the same problem / know a solution?

    Thanks.

I also had this problem and wasn't sure whether I'd changed a setting somewhere (I changed that many) that had caused it. I reset my :apple: Watch fully and its working fine again now, but for how long I don't know.

My phone doesn't beep when I'm wearing the watch. I get:

    Watch off: Phone beeps.
Watch on, phone locked: watch beeps
Watch on, phone on: phone beeps.

Yeah, that's the way it should be working. It still chimes for me even when it's locked which shouldn't really happen.

By reset do you mean long crown/side button press or unpaid? Thanks.

Have you set notifications to mirror your phone?

I did a full content & settings reset from the Watch app on the iPhone which seems to have solved it for now. Just means you have to re-pair and re-sync.

Is it possible to then restore your settings, or did you just start again from scratch like setting up a new device?

    Thanks for your help.

That's what I've been getting and it makes sense I suppose. If I'm not wearing my watch or I'm using my phone I don't need to get a notification on my watch. Also as the watch is not a standalone device it doesn't need to get all notifications pushed to it as my iPads would, which by contrast are standalone devices.

I started from scratch and just set it up again. AFAIK this is the only way to reset settings (erase all content and settings). It's worked so far anyway :D
