After upgrading to WatchOS 10, the background for notifications (and other parts of the OS) are now annoyingly grey.

Swipe down, and it looks like a TV with the brightness turned way too high... It was especially annoying as the background is transparent to an extent, so my white watch face is leaking through making notifications even less clear.

Anybody else have this?

Yup. I report the same.

NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME. OR someone should be fired. These are the annoyances coming out of software enhancements and beta testing?

Really. Apple. Way to bring your C- game.

Notifications are NOT gray but translucent and the colors depends on your Watch Face.

^this.

But somewhat inconsistent. Or design choice. When I set a timer on the Watch, always get a red-ish background vs watch face color when done.

With reduced transparency it should have one color of the background. If it’s black it should be black… but is grey.

Also reported it in Feedback app today as it’s driving me crazy.

FB13193661 for grey background after cancelling notification / other activities like confirming that medications were taken

FB13192385 for this issue… ruining OLED main benefit.

Mine are grey... It looks terrible with the black bezels of the watch.

Did you read the latter part of my statement? Here it is again: color depends on your Watch Face. If the color of the Notifications are such a big deal to you then then you have exactly ONE option that WILL remedy it. Change your Watch Face to a different color.

Posting over and over about how terrible it looks or Apple messed up will NOT change a thing. HOWEVER changing your Watch Face will.

Why should I need to change my watchface? The notifications were on a black background prior to V10, and I'd like to get that back - which is why I posted in the first place.

I'm not interested in your watch faces or colours.

If it can't be done, then so be it. Others seem to agree with me.
