Since I installed ML I've received like 20 notifications, mainly from twitter and mail, they pop and click on them to go see the tweets, but when I return to Notification Center there's nothing there... are they supposed to not show up after I click them, or am I doing something wrong???

You are correct, after you click them they disappear from the Notification Center.

nothing was shown at notification center

have installed mountian lion last week. had figured out where the notification center is, but no message was shown. have checked the setting, don't even see the twitter or facebook app on notification center.

do i need to do anything?

on iphone and ipad, I have a list of apps on notification center.. however, I don't see those on mac. any suggestion?
