notifications for mail not showing on screen

I am sure there is probably a simple way to do this but for some reason some of my mail will not show up and light up my screen but I do hear the notification. When I click either the home button or the power button it does show up. Is there something I am missing?

go into your notifications > mail and set it up to show on screen.

tip: you can set notifications for each individual account (whether or not it will appear on your lockscreen).

Sorry! That's a LockInfo 8 tweak setting, I think.
