I've got this issue with 15.2/18.2 so I'm not sure a solution is on the near horizon.

Has anyone managed to get all their iPhones apps to appear in this setting on the Mac yet?

Looks like this issue is rearing its ugly head again in 15.2. I just updated to the 15.2 RC and it wiped out all my apps. Guessing they'll trickle back in one-by-one as the apps get updated.

Yup... Just updated Disney+ and that one is back in the list now.

This is an absolute joke. Still not working at all. Yeah if apps get updated then they show up but my most important one, Okta, hasnt since this garbage issue began.

This is what happens when you employ thousands of random designers that just want to add their “mark” with zero QA on the very basic functionalities

I wish I could even have an app work again after it updates. I'm just getting zilch for notifications even though all the apps still show in my enabled list. Makes no difference whether they show there and are enabled. So frustrating.

I found a workaround or "fix" for the missing apps...

On your iPhone:
  1. Go to Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage.
  2. Offload the apps that are missing on the Mac you would like to have notifications mirrored for.
  3. Restart your phone. (This step seems to be required.)
  4. Reinstall the apps you offloaded.
  5. You should now see those apps show up in the list on the Mac.

You shouldn't lose any data since you're only removing the app itself. I didn't need to sign into any of my apps, nor did I have to set up Okta Verify again. I might have to go through all my apps now just for completeness.

I feel like there should be a file or plist somewhere that could be deleted to completely reset this and potentially pull everything back in as if it was being set up for the very first time...because it apparently remembered which apps I had it turned off for even after revoking iPhone Mirroring access multiple times. I wonder where it could be storing this information.

Good one! Wish that was my problem though. I can see all my apps and toggle to my heart's content but it's the equivalent of a 2 year old's busy toy!

That's really odd. I just discovered that the mirrored notifications still get pushed to my Mac when Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned off on my phone, so they must be going through the internet. I confirmed this by disconnecting my Mac from the internet and leaving Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on for both devices, and it didn't work.

So the Apple support pages seem to be a little misleading. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is required for iPhone Mirroring and the initial setup, but not for the notifications themselves. This one does say your iPhone doesn't need to be nearby, implying it's using the internet.

Perhaps your router or firewall is blocking it. Have you locked down or blocked any ports? This article might be a good place to start if you're technical.

You may be on to something here since we just moved and I decided to just go with Frontier's Eero 6E router instead of my Asus mesh equipment (don't judge me!). I think notifications were initially working at this house but don't recall for sure. And it appears that the Eero can get a bit nanny state with traffic, so this is definitely worth looking into. I won't have time to dig into it until this weekend most likely, and will then report back.

Thanks for the idea!

EDIT: Oh, and iPhone mirroring works just fine for what it's worth.

Hmmm... well that doesn't appear to be an issue, both because I don't see any sort of active firewall either via the Mac's own firewall (off) or the router's (none). I don't see any other Eero settings that would be messing with things either.

Also, I brought my MBP to a friend's house and had the same issues. So, something is seriously broken with this iPhone notifications feature and I'm at a complete loss. Thanks for the idea though.

New update. All apps got reset AGAIN and now get even less notifications. Great one Apple. Nice. Haven't been able to use OKTA since 15.0

Ugh. And these updates didn't change anything for me either. All the apps still show for me in the settings but it's just window dressing.

Yep, all my iPhones apps (well, the ones that were there!) got deleted from these settings after the update!

I've tried the offload app, restart iPhone, and re-install app trick and it appears to work for some apps but not all.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to live with it (and the mess that is the Mail app) until Apple fix it!

I recently reinstalled my iPhone (for other reasons). I did an "erase all content and settings" followed with a restore, including everything, from iCloud backup. The iPhone notifications work perfectly now, this is both on my Mini and MacBook.

I am running iOS 18.2 and macOS 15.2.

Which makes you wonder whether this confirms the issue as being on the iPhone/iOS side of things or it is more a matter of the re-pairing (though JUST re-pairing does nothing for me). It will be interesting to see whether this lasts for you. I believe others (on reddit) reported doing this with success, only to have it relapse not long after.

Good point. I'll post up if anything changes.

This was working flawlessly on my M1 Mac mini even on 18.2/15.2, but after upgrading to an M4 Mac mini using Migration Assistant the settings for iPhone mirroring notifications in System Settings don't appear, and in search I can get to them but they don't stay on nor list any apps. This is after multiple re-pairings in iPhone Mirroring on the Mac, and even logging out, rebooting, and logging back in to iCloud on both devices at the same time. No dice whatever I try. I'm pretty sure the issue is on the Mac side since Notification settings on my phone have options for "Show on Mac", but at this point I think all I can do is wait for software updates to someday fix this.

A week has gone by and this restore has been a solid fix. Both Macs have been rebooted, the iPhone restarted a number of times over the last week and all is well. Notifications are fully populated and work perfectly.

Funny, I was just wondering this morning how things are going for you. Thanks for letting us know! Man, tempting, as I was really enjoying this new feature.

I am running 18.3 and all apps are available in notifications: MBP - M4 Pro.
I am running 15.2 and all apps are available in notifications: iPhone 16 Pro.

I may have missed the 'glitch' in 18.2 and 15.1 as I keep all notifications turned off.

Oh, I'm sure we who are suffering are the exception to the rule, though I know there are plenty of us out there.

What does seem to be a bit different about my case is that all apps DO show as available for Mac notifications, and can be toggled. They just don't actually do anything.
