Hi all,

Brand new owner of a S2 Watch and when I get iMessages, I get the notification on my watch. However, while I get the message alert on my iPhone screen, I do not get the sound notification like I used to, nor do I get the reminder notification on my phone, but I do on my Watch. Any solution to make sure the sound notification occurs on both? Would hate to miss a text because I don't have my watch on.

Solution????? This IS the way it works. The :apple:Watch notifies you and that is all that is needed. Why do you want your iPhone making redundant and unnecessary nosies?

If you don't have the :apple:Watch on your iPhone works the same as not having an :apple:Watch.

I liked the alert tone I had on my iPhone and it was loud enough that it caught my attention whereas the ding on the Apple Watch is easy to ignore/not hear. Is there a way I can change the tone so it's the same as my phone?

I don't thing you can change the sounds but you will hear the sound and fill a "tap" from your watch to call your attention too. I have never missed a notification because it is almost imposible not to hear the ding and/or the tap

STRANGE! I just started a thread to ask the EXACT OPPOSITE question. I get notified on BOTH my phone and my watch. What is going on?

Normally, when you use the iPhone you get notifications only on the iPhone. Notifications on the Watch only appear when the iPhone is not being used and in locked mode.

The apple watch will detect it is not on your wrist. So when you put down the apple watch, your iphone will make the sound.

if you are afraid you will not hear the apple watch, Set the apple watch volume to maximum and turn on 'Prominent Haptic'.
