Is there a way to have your watch notify you of a text message even when you are on your phone?

I think once the phone is on, it gets the messages instead of the watch. 🙁

Because sometimes I don’t want to leave where I’m on the phone. Glancing at Watch would be nice.

If you know you got a text, you should still be able to read it on your watch. You just won't get a notification.

Right...just takes a little more work to get to.

no

they assume if you're on your phone, you'll see the notification on that screen.


you can drag the notification center down on the screen on your phone, and reply to texts there. without launching the messages app

You can also force press the message on your phone and read/reply to it without switching apps.

Bottom right. When you have a message it shows the number inside the bubble.
