Notify Me... Were You Notified?

I signed up for pre-order notification from both Apple and AT&T. Not sure why, but I did. I got real lucky at AT&T @ 8:30AM EST on the 2nd attempt. Prolly a dozen Apple attempts - failed. I still call myself lucky.

Haven't seen an email from either about pre-order. Did get my confirmation from AT&T though within seconds. Did any of you sign up and receive notification? Just curious.

I would assume that once the store went down due to high volume some higher authority stopped those emails in their tracks.

I actually received an email from AT&T.com.........after it was 10:38 am EDT.

Nothing from APPLE.com though, Im still waiting for the notification.

I have signed up for notifications like these from other companies as well and for some reason they never work. What is the point of putting them on there if they have no intention of actually emailing the people?

No notification from Apple even though I signed up for it, but fortunately my cat "notified" me around 3AM PST so I decided to try for a pre-order since I was up. Tried a few times with Apple unsuccessfully, then went to AT&T and ordered one up.
