For those looking for things like transparent nav and status bars (see my pic below), but don't have 4.4 yet, then you may want to head over to Google+ and follow the Nova Launcher Beta community. It is the only way you can get the Beta update. (You also need to join the community via a desktop browser, not a mobile browser. This is key to be able to "opt in" to the beta program. Once you opt in, you will be able to go to the play store and see the Nova Launcher 'update' button.

    • Kitkat scroll indicator (Settings > Desktop > Scroll Indicator)
    • Kitkat folders (Settings > Folders > Light Background and Folder Background > Light Circle)
    • Kitkat font (Settings > Look and Feel > Icon Font > Condensed, requires Android 4.1+)
Kitkat app drawer (on by default, get the old style by long-press > Edit > tap the icon > Built-in)
    • Transparent system bars on Kitkat (Settings > Look and feel > Transparent Notification Bar)
    • Transparent nav bar on Moto X (Settings > Look and feel > Transparent Navigation Bar)
    • Drawer tab indicator
    • Drawer scroll indicator is relative to current tab
    • Scroll indicators animate properly for infinite scroll
    • Backup/Restore from external sdcard (on devices with sdcards)
    • Fast scroll for vertical app drawer
    • Fixes and optimizations

I've been running the beta as well with the Kitkat experience theme. I have to say it's been smooth sailing for me on the Note 3

The beta update last night enabled KitKat icons.

Been using this beta for the past few days and it's been flawless, very impressed. I even paid for the Prime version.

Can you swipe right for Google Now in the newest beta?

No. That likely will never be implemented exactly as google has it because the way google did it was to put the launcher inside the google now app. Its not really a big deal anyway since you can just click the google search bar to get to google now.

You can also just put a big Google Now widget on one of your homescreens, that's what I did.

Or just go into Nova settings and use one of their built in gestures. I swipe up anywhere on the screen and Google Now will pop up.

Yep. I set mine so I just double tap the homescreen and the voice activation comes up.
