Can't tell for sure, but did you remove the border and background from your dock? How did you get that? I've been searching all over for a way to remove it when placed on the side. So far, I've only been able to remove the border.

It's that lovely program called Geektool. Use MRoogle to search for instructions, they can be found here on MR.

It can do alot more then just display the date and time. Calander, iTunes, Weather etc. There are some pretty slick things people are doing with it..... But yeah, geektools!
