The S stands for Siri this time. Siri always on and listening for voice commands.

Damn, it's so tempting!

It's a nice screen without a doubt, but beyond that it's still a laggy android phone with apps that randomly close down all the time. Also you must restart the phone at LEAST once a day to save yourself from the phone bugging out when you need it. For example once the camera wouldn't open until I restarted the phone, but by then it was too late.

Pretty screen tho, yup.

I've read a lot of reviews lately on Samsung products by Samsung fans. The praise for the Note 3 and Note 4 has been pretty consistent and the complaints have been reasonable and measured and what you might expect for any device over a year old.

There have been some problems with the newer models, but solid praise as well. It is a shame I was not able to get hold of a newer model of any kind during their test drive offer. The screens are indeed attractive and I would have wanted to test the camera and try out the current iteration of Android as well. I don't think that I would switch, though. My carrier adds a lot of bloat ware to non Apple phones. And I have an Apple Watch.

Nevertheless, Samsung makes beautiful displays. And has made many wonderful components for IPhones.

You're bang on there about carrier bloatware. Of course you can just install Samsung's generic UK firmware but the average bloke doesn't know how. That also doesn't deal with the issue of Samsung adding pointless apps you'll never use. Apple set a precent by saying no to the carriers; it is just a shame that no other company has imitated that.

It is a shame that newer samsung handsets have a ram issue. The Note 3 and 4 are both superb at holding open loads and loads of apps without ever reloading them. I'm sure Samsung will address this with an update though for the newer handsets.

And I tend to go for phones with more than half of that RAM usable, but again that would also be just me. Very pretty screen though. And the Antenna lines look both snazzy and original.

Words never said by someone with high-end android flagship "My phone can't load this website because it doesn't have enough ram".

Note 3? Flagship? What a wonderful 2013 we live in! Only pulling your leg mate, the differences between are not overly noticeable anyway. I am not part of the extremists I just prefer Apple products myself. I would not say I ever have issues loading websites, nor do I expect you will have. But my friend Sam usually has about 1.3GB not being used by the OS on his Note 3. And as a reply I will state, I don't think any iPhone users have ever broken their phone by putting it's stylus in backwards. xD Equally it is not Apple's or Samsung's job to idiot proof their devices and if they were to restrict them to those of a competent IQ it would be an niece market. (Little dig at society)
