Now Playing always showing very first library track

S2 w watchOS 4.2 - not beta

The Now Playing widget ‘feels’ I’m playing music on my (non- carplay) dash but stubbornly refuses to show anything else than my very first library track (didn’t switch on icloud music library, but stream my music via Apple Music)

WTF?
 
I have had the same thing happen to me (a few times) when using the iPhone with ios 11. I think it is an iOS bug versus a problem with your watch. Report the probable bug to Apple.
