Unless there is an option to toggle this that I'm unaware of, there is a small Now Playing icon at the top of the modular watch face when I'm playing music or podcasts. I really want to get rid of it but can't. Or can I? Does this bother anyone else?

You can get rid of it by closing the Music app. To do this you need to switch to the Music app, hold down the power button until the power off screen shows, then press the dial button.
Not exactly ideal, but it does get rid of the icon...

That icon appears on any watch face when the music app is running in the background. It’s a quick link to the app so you can control the music you are playing.

I think part of the problem is that sometimes the icon stays there when you’ve been playing music and you stop/pause it.
Looks like there’s a bug where the icon doesn’t always disappear when it should.

I hate it. It too closely resembles the red dot when you have a notification.

I already have a complication for both my Music app and Pocketcasts on the modular face. I don't need a now playing one constantly appearing while I listen to something. This is so annoying.

Also it is a link to the Music or Remote app. It is also in all screens and not just Modular.

EDIT: danmart beat me by a couple of seconds.:D
Which is ridiculous. This should be an option, not something you must look at when using a specific app.

I agree I don't like this feature as it is too confusing with the notification icon. If I want o see what app is running ill just press the dock button. Also I'm disappointed there is no "now playing" complication for the new faces. Only Apple music is available.
