i've got Vista running on a PeeCee down in my study, as i'm on the MSDN subscription from work and thought i should try it. The latest one on there is the December 05 build, and it's HELLISH. i'm running it on optomised hardware, specifically built by my company's techies to be perfect for "Long Way Off" as i like to call it.

i couldn't stand to have that as an everyday os. it's minging, all the way. i shall never go near it even when it's shipping.

Microsoft is awful, I was a Microsoft boy for all of my life and then i use Mac OS X one day and i thought wow so i bought a Powerbook and its amazing :D - I love it - Anyway, Vista is rubbish, i cant wait to see what Steve brings out in Leopard.

i cant for the life of me understand why Apple doesnt advertise osx with the iPod. Have an iPod hooked up to some slick piece of Apple hardware in fetching lighting and you are onto a winner. They sort of did it for the original iPod ad, but it needs to be ther other way round... focus on the Mac...hardware first... then move to the screen...show Dashboard ripples, genie effect....etc... then at the end to keep MS happy, tie in the current offer....buy a Mac and get Office 2004 at half price :D

Seriously though, the lack of Apple advertisement of OSX is mind blowing...I dont think ive EVER seen one. do they think iPod was successful purely from word of mouth? Hell no, it was pushed by slick marketing.
