Now that we have made it CLEAR the iPhone 6 Plus has 2GB of ram...

Don't get me wrong, I truly hope that the 6+ has 2 gb of ram but there is a part of me that hopes it doesn't just so the whiny brat OP has to eat crow.

Settle down weirdo and just enjoy whatever you ordered.

They never talk about RAM, even if it goes up.

Anyway, iFixit's teardown on Friday is the only "confirmation" we'll get.
 
I really don't see the point of this. Even if it does have 1GB of ram then I'm sure it will be fine. Heck they are not going to produce a phone which struggles out of the starting blocks are they?

The reviews should come out tomorrow (Wednesday) and I will be surprised if the RAM is not reported in one of them. The only issue is that benchmarking apps sometimes incorrectly analyze RAM in new devices until they are updated. So yeah, a tear-down should be the most accurate way, but I think we will probably know before then.

Actually they did talk about it...

They said it now lets in more light for less blurry photos and better selfies or some BS like that.

They definitely talked about it. :rolleyes:
 
Wow, do you get joy out of this?

I ordered the iPhone 6, I know I'm getting it this Friday and I know it's going to work well for the next two year with whatever RAM that is inside.

Now, even if I was one of those that was hoping for the 2GB RAM. I can simply go back to Apple and return the phone. Sure I might not be able to the 6+ right away, but in less then two months, we will be using the same phone.

Probably not, but it's what happens 1-2 iOS versions down the road that concerns me. That's when things could really get rough and they have to start dropping features on phones that can't support them, with inadequate RAM being a primary culprit in those sorts of thing (it has happened in the past in iPhone history). No one wants to spend the better part of $1000 for a device that is semi-obsolete in a year.

Let me guess: you maxed out your credit card on Friday buying a 6 Plus, and while trying to figure out how you're going to meet the next payment, you're making yourself feel better about your decision by gloating at future iPhone 6 owners over a metric that few of them actually care about. :)
 
I'd bet they're saving it for e 6s. They need to have big internal upgrades to make it worth while. Seems like doubling the ram could be a bit part of that.

And the saddest bit of it all? Even if the iPhone 6+ had 1gb of ram, it would still be a better phone than the regular plain vanillla 6. Its bigger, more battery and OIS. Plus rotation/app functionality that the 6 will never have.

Oh man now I have to go cancel my 6 preorder and wait forever to get a phone I don't want because its to big for me juts because it has 2GB of RAM.

Oh wait thats right I could careless, hope you enjoy your 6+ I know I will enjoy my 6.

And do his insults at the end of the post not count either? I'm only allowed to talk about the delicious chocolaty center of the post?
 
Why would I care at all about how much RAM the 6+has if I've ordered a 6. It's not my phone, its absolutely irrelevant to me...
