Hi everyone,

I am running Mojave 10.14.6 and for the past few hours I am suddenly seeing "nsurlsessionid" is taking all the my internet data. Itried every procedure available- disabling icloud photo library, disabling spotlight suggestions. even I tried to kill it from terminal using the method given here:- https://theblogmatic.wordpress.com/... suggest that you can, enable when you want to.

But in the terminal its is giving this error while executing the command- "Operation not permitted while System Integrity Protection is engaged". Tried restarting, did not solve. Please help. It was not their earlier, suddenly started & I am clueless.

If you need to disable System Integrity Protection, here's how:

1. First, WRITE THIS DOWN on a piece of paper or print out this reply:
csrutil disable
(remember that there is a space character between the two words)

2. Next, boot to the recovery partition:
Command-R at boot.

3. When you get to the recovery partition, open terminal

4. Type in the command "csrutil disable" and hit return.

5. REBOOT the Mac.

6. When you get logged in, NOW open terminal again, and enter:
csrutil status

7. Terminal should reply:
"System Integrity Protection status: disabled."

Now you can do what you need to do without being bothered by SIP.
If you want to RE-enable SIP, I think you can repeat the process above, but in the recovery partition you want to type:
csrutil enable

I'm not sure if that's the correct command, but try it.

I DID NOT WANT SIP active at all, so I just disable it on all my Macs.
No problems after having done so.

Hi I did that and it solved my problem. Thanks a lot for the help.
