Hello and Happy Labor Day all.

All of a sudden when burning AVI files to DVD via Toast I have started getting a warning/message that states in part "NTSC is the standard but all of my content is PAL. Do you want to enode the date to NTSC. By doing so it will take a longer......"

I know that here in the states we use NTSC but Toast has never given me that message before.

Any idea why I'm getting it all of a sudden?

Thanks
David

It's probably the frame rate of what you're trying to burn. Open it in Quicktime/Perian, open the inspector, and see what the value for 'FPS' is.

If it's 23.9xxx or 29.9xxxx then it's NTSC, if it's 25 it's PAL, and if it's 24 then its film and isn't native to either standard.
