Hello

I live in Canada and I'm going to go camp out in front of the Apple store of Montreal thursday night so I can buy the iPhone 5, but I'm wondering if Apple will have a lot of all the iPhones (the 5 of course)? I mean, How many of black or white 16GB, 32GB, 64GB..

So if any of you know approximately how many of each Apple stores get, can you please tell me? :p

who knows these numbers dude? Really?

ALOT

lol obviously it would be impossible to get approximate numbers, but the one in my home town is small and inside a mall and i would say they had easy 30 thousand iPhone 4 models available, they get a lot of all different models and chances are even better now that way more pre-order than ever before.

they get a lot... i remember when i lined up for the iphone 3g... they had like 1500+ at my store...so anyone who goes should be fine to get one.... if this was an iPad launch i would understand if someone was concerned if they wouldn't get one because of supply contraints..

Unlike other people on this thread so far, I will attempt to answer the question. Judging by what I have seen from previous launch days, I'd say each store has a 500-600 phones.

Thanks a lot, looks like I will be able to get my hands on one! :D

Thirty thousand? As in 30,000? That seems way too many for one store.

no way man, there were easy that many people during the corse of the day on iphone launches. figure how many apple stores in the states there is at least a million phones i would think to go around, since they are advertising to come in to an apple store on the 21st to get one.

My local shops, of which there are two, two about 200 each.

They both said the 4S sold out in a day.

Hence why I finally decided to pre-order.

Having worked at an Apple Store I can tell you that you are not going to find out. They literally will not even know what product is coming in for "security" reasons.

Apple's 5th Avenue store selling 30,000 on launch day, I can believe. There's no other Apple store on this planet that can process that many customers in one day. 3000 sounds more reasonable for a popular area.

I just can't believe it. Riffola has a good point:

Every year the same question? If I knew the answer, I'd have already won the lottery.

I'm from the Vancouver area and from what the above ex-Apple employee said, I've also heard that the shipment that stores get are totally random (ie. no specific model and no specific color). I started lining up 4/5 hours before ipad2 launch and I got what I wanted. But ya, every device is different because of what Apple anticipates. And since iphone5 has the biggest pre-order lot, i'm guessing store stock might be increased from previous launches as well.

I think if you camp out the day before you should be able to get your hands on an iphone5. Most people buy the the 16GB and 64GB, color doesn't matter. Not sure if they'll split for people who will be buying under a contract and people who are paying full price for a non-contract phone.
