had drop #3 last night, iPhone fell out of my pocket and onto a hardwood floor. This morning I noticed that it had apparently dislodged the SIM, so I took it out and put it reseated it.... but it didnt fix it. I ended up having to drive to the AT&T store and get a new SIM. All seems to be working fine now.

:)

I didn't drop my iPhone, but the "Genius" at the Apple Store was having a look at it as I had found a huge gap on the side of it between the bezel and screen. Anyway, the dude dropped the damn thing straight on it's screen and panic quickly ensued but I got a brand new white iPhone, haven't dropped it since.

Looks like more people have dropped the phone at least once. The "0" droppers seems to be a rare group. You guys must baby that thing. :)

Never dropped THIS iPhone... I dropped my first one once at work trying to work and quickly text my girlfriend doing a banquet... I missed by pocket putting it away and hit the concrete floor :( no damage though, so it was all good

I voted "0" because I haven't dropped my current 3G or 1st gen. My last 1st gen I dropped out of my moving truck three times in one night. Several dents and gouges in the aluminum resulted. Not pretty. This was the phone I loaned to a friend who proceeded to drop and break it and replace it with a shiny new one. :D

LOL... I actually felt bad for that iPhone being used by the two of you. :p

Mine's been dropped onto concrete and tile, amongst other things. Never down the toilet though (which is a common fate for iPhones, I understand). It's got some scratches and dings on the case, but the glass is a beautiful as the day it was covered by a screen protector.

I've dropped mine over 20 times I believe, the problem is, it only took one foot fall(from bed) on a glass cup to crack the screen, the later 19 drops was fine.

This thread has me so paranoid now, that when I take out my iPhone I'm practically in slow motion with a vice grip!!! :D

Okay the only way I can think of that iPhone not getting waterlogged is the toilet water had some thickening elements in it. I hate to think what that would be.. yuck!!

The phone had to be "dried out" both times it happened, but, amazingly the iPhone kept working! I think it's far more durable than people give it credit.

About 4 months and still havent dropped it. Very weird for me as i am usually careles with my things:$

Havent dropped it at all yet. I carry it in a SF bag so its not as slippery. I just try not to multitask when I am carrying my phone!
