Besides the built in help messages you could try Lynda.com. If you don't want to pay for it just use the 10 day free trial.

One simple thing to do after getting started is to open the various templates provided to get ideas for the different "looks" that are possible.
Once she gets going she can ask questions here or at Apple's support forum.

I enrolled in a Numbers class through Udemy that I think is very good and reasonably priced at $15. It is taught by the creator of the Macmost web site which also provides excellent tutorials. Here's a link.
