Instead of incorporating my finances from Excel, I created them from scratch using Numbers on my iPad. The only thing I'm missing is the ability to add comments to any cell that I want. Sometimes I need to add a comment on a certain expense so that I can remember specifics.

Can you add comments to cells in Numbers?

    Thanks.

Not that I am aware of. I know in the osx version you can add referenced notes but I'm unsure of the iOS version. On a sidenote, they really need to make iCloud work between iWork on osx and iOS....and it better not be a mountain lion only thing.

I shared the spreadsheet I created on my iPad to iWork and now I can view it on my iPhone as well. I do not have Numbers on OSX yet so I don't know how well it connects there.

That's too bad about comments... I use them all the time.

Unfortunately if the fix even ever happens I can see it very well being a ML only type this.

And not just comments, other things that work fine in Numbers on the Mac don't work on the iPad including passwords for one. Poor

iWork for OSX and iWork for iOS are essentially incompatible.
