Hi, i'm trying to make a checklist type thing for gift certificates produced for a business. I'm listing the serial numbers that will be six-digit numbers, obviously beginning with 0.

When I try to list them as 000001, 000002, etc, Numbers automatically deletes the zeros and just makes it 1, 2, etc.

Is there any way I can prevent the software from doing this?

I'm sorry if this has been covered before or if it's basic. I did a search of the forum and Google, as well as looked through all the menus in numbers to see if I could find it myself.

Thanks so much for any help anyone can give. It's greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I figured it out. I'm sorry! And I don't know how to delete the thread.

Just in case anyone else searches for this:

All I did was select the column and clicked the dropdown arrow next to the check symbol and percentage symbol, etc.. clicked on "numeral system" and put "6" in the "places" box.
