I have a worksheet I regularly use. The other day I noticed the main tab looked like a copy of the table was overlapping itself, but I have no idea why (data in the "front" worksheet blurred out):
  1. Notice at the left and the duplicate headers.
  2. I've tried to click to select and move or delete it, but nothing works.
  3. When I select-all and delete, the data is visible on the table in the background.
  4. Other tabs don't have this issue.

Any idea how to fix this?

It looks like you have perhaps accidentally laid a table on top of your sheet. I just tried and was able to replicate your image capture. Click the circle to the left of "A" and above "1" and then the delete key. Overlapping table will be deleted and all will look normal again.

Thanks, @HobeSoundDarryl!
I played with that and didn't figure it out. Rather than delete it (as it had new data), I CMD-X cut it and pasted into a new tab. Then, moved the old tab to the end for reference (paranoid? ME??? I just KNEW you thought so... ) and renamed the new tab (w/current data).

That wasn't intuitive. Grr.

Thanks for the help!

I actually love how Numbers sheets are really just blank canvases. I've on occasion put multiple small tables on one sheet. You can even drop in images or other objects, just as you can in a Pages or Keynote layout. It's a big paradigm shift from Excel, but I think it's pretty cool.
