Hello

I have Mac pro 5.1 with 5770 graphic card and a PC with Evga GTX 570 2.5GB, which I don't use anymore. In some threads I read that GTX 570 doesn't need flashing to work on a mac and some are saying that they bought flashed one from macvidcards for example. My questions are:

1. Will it work without flashing on Sierra? If yes which driver is needed?
2. Can my mac pro power it?

Best regards

Yes, a GTX 570 will work just fine without flashing on a cMP 5,1, BUT you won't have a boot screen. The GTX 570 can be used with Apple Drivers or Nvidia Web Drivers, take your choice. I ran a cMP 3,1 than a 5,1 for some some time with one, but it was flashed by MVC. I require a boot screen.

Thanks for the quick response. Is it possible to leave also the 5770 inside for boot screen (sometimes I have to switch to Windows with bootcamp) or both will draw too much power together? Best

^^^^Sure, you can leave it in but leave the power cables plugged in to the GTX 570 and when you want a boot screen plug them into the AMD card. Same with your display.
