The NVIDIA® Quadro® K5000 for Mac VCQK5000MAC-PB 4GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Supported Workstation Video Card is quite expensive at around $1800. If someone has this card in a MP5,1 and can share some thoughts about its performance and how it compares with a much less expensive card such as the Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 for Mac at around $450 I'd be very appreciative.

Thank you. :)

Pretty sure it is basically a down clocked GTX 680 in term of raw performance. If you need the features it has you know you need the features (do you need advanced modeling capabilities? etc). It is all about the drivers. For anything else you would be wasting $1,400+ dollars on a slower card.
