Hey all,
I've got dozens of CMP 4,1 and 5,1 machines using OCLP running various operating systems. I have a couple Titan X and Titan Xp cards laying around the office that I'd love to use in here for Windows 11 builds, but to do that safely with UEFI I need OpenCore. The thing is - I'm not getting ANY boot screen with manual Open Core or OCLP - and I have tried the "inject nvidia GOP" option as well with no luck.
If I slap a Vega 56 or 64 in the machine I have no issue. If I swap out one of the Titans I get nothing. It never even seems to really make it through pre-boot since a quick power button press will turn the system off immediately.
Yes they are adequately powered, and if I boot up something like Zorin or Ubuntu 22.04 bare metal from a USB the cards boot and work just fine.
Is there something I'm missing with these cards that specifically make them not work with OpenCore, etc? Is there a different BIOS or one that enables EFI like some of the older Radeon cards needed?
Thanks for the thoughts friends!
