Sorry, but the storage threads I see aren't so recent...

My 2 TB factory internal has filled up, time to offload some. Secondarily, I might want to boot to it—mainly because I'm still running Catalina, and want to be able to fall back to it for audio plugin and driver compatibility. So, it needn't be RAID, but it should be better than the external spinning rust that I use for backup. Finally, I don't want to generate needless heat, and get the fans working more (again, for audio work—love the silence I have now).

The OWC 2TB Accelsior 1M2 M.2 SSD to PCIe 4.0 Adapter Card ($249) seems like a good fit, with a painless price.

Anything else out there, any other cards or brands to look at, any reason to avoid this one? I figured I'd ask before Black Friday, in case stuff starts popping up on my screen.

Thanks!

I have added nine additional SSDs inside my NcMP 7,1. I have outlined my devices many times. Do a search and you'll find some of my posts.

$149.99 + $24.99 total (free shipping, tax rebated for using Payboo card) from B&H for 970 EVO Plus 2TB and the OWC adapter card. Good enough for now.
