Ok, I am to the end of the line here!

I am using 1and1 Hosting services and NVU on mac to edit my website. Everything is set up on NVU and 1and1 correctly. What has recently been happening is that i will try opening my site through the NVU site manage. It opens up the site, all text, but no images. It just shows blank square for images. Then what happens is that the 1and1 server will block my ip address for about 20 minutes and it refuses FTP access and does not allow any computer in my home to access my website or the server. What is happening?!

I have called 1and1 and all they do is remove me from the blacklist which does nothing because I'll be right back on it as soon as I try opening the site with NVU.

They supposedly sent my case to the 1and1 admins which I doubt they will do anything.

Does anyone have any answers? Im going crazy here!

Thanks in advance!

And yes, all my directories are set up fine. All images have the correct image directory so that they can download. I am sure because when I access my site (whenever I'm not blocked) the images download.

Have you tried downloading the files using a different FTP program like Cyberduck, then edit them in NVU. This would help figure out if it's an NVU issue or something else. I've only used NVU locally rather than via FTP.

yes, I download the .html files through Filezilla, and they open perfectly in NVU. But I cannot open them through the manager.
