for other news junkies out there. I've been using mobile.nytimes.com because the app is so slow (I don't need to dl for offline reading as my commute doesn't involve the subway) and buggy.

1.4 seems to not crash as much, but still a little slow to update.

While I appreciate NY Times making an app, I really wish Fox News would make a similar app.

Thank goodness! The NYTimes app was one of the least stable on my 3G. The bad part was that it was also one of my most-used. :(

    Thanks for the heads-up.

Call me a luddite, but I think I still prefer the simplicity of mobile.nytimes.com.

A lot of news sites are kinda slow getting on the bandwagon. CNN and USA Today have decent mobile sites, AP and NYT have the apps, but every other big name is pretty much absent. I really like the NYT app because of the ease of adding advertisements. I work for a newspaper, so the thought of that says "we have a future!!!"

It would be nice if the three cable news networks could make apps that incorporated video kinda like MLB At Bat and AP do.

The Fox New web app is great, but I would prefer a native version that remembered the scroll position.

The update hasn't popped up in 'Updates' on my iPhone yet.

A little off topic, but Time has a really nice iPhone optimized site
