Hi,

I am stuck at finding how to insert the ó on my keyboard in Word 2008. ñááá á and the ñ
Option + o gives me œ and option + a æ..
Any help on how to insert that accent on the charachters through the keyboard?

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Try bringing up the Character map in OS X, by pressing Option + Command + T.

ó via German keyboard, thus it should work with other keyboard and keyboard layouts as well, as long as the ´/` key is included:

Are you using Lion? Press and keep hold of O, then press the Number 8.

Õ. BOOM!

Go to System Preferences -> Keyboard

Tick Show Keyboard & Character Viewers in menu bar

From the Menu, select Show Keyboard Viewer, play with the option key and you will see how to obtain any character.

For most of the non-spanish keyboards option key and e will with you the accent ´ then press the vowel you want to accentuate.

option e then a = á
option e then e = é
option e then i = í
option e then o = ó
option e then u = ú

option n then n = ñ

Found it! It's shift+option+1 and then the character to insert characters like á ó and é.

option-u, letter gives äëïöüÿ.
option-e, letter gives áéîôû.
option-n, letter gives ãõñ
option-i, letter gives âêîôû
option-`, letter gives àèìòù.

I Lion, keep your finger on the letter until a window with choices pops up.
