O2 Contract Ends December... Can I legally unlock?

I just called up Apple to check the page, after your post, they said that the information there is the most accurate :/

I did however, state in my OP that O2 don't hold the unlock codes.

Edit: it was only updated 2 days ago :/
 
I already provided the Norwegian link for unlocking an iPhone locked by Netcom (also, you can unlock it at any time, but if your contract hasn't run out there's a penalty fee, based on the reminder of your contract).

Use google translate or something if you cannot read Norwegian.

And if you google Netcom and tethering you'll find a lot of blog posts around the time it was actually activated, ~August 3rd, a couple of days after the 3GS was released in Norway.

Also, if you gonna pick a fight, please do it about something you have any knowledge at all about, with someone who cannot have you banned for trolling...

I am not picking a fight, and I am aware of Netcom offering since your original post, I am just poised as to why the page is innacurate. I just wish that OFCOM in the UK didn't have the mentality that having locked phones introduces better competition.

Tell that to the Norwegians how "lucky" they are with their iphones, just look at their iphone plans --- starting with 100 MB per month data allowance.
