Yeah.. some stores have an early time on them.
Seems to be a bit of a crapshoot what time your local O2 opens.

Huh? Not sure what you're getting at there. I was just pointing out that the opening times seem to be a local thing - no stores I've seen (5 so far) have a sign outside for example.
Ahh I see.
Yeah no sign of the ones around here opening early - one because it can't (realistically), and 2 because they haven't told their staff what the heck's going on yet.
You'll get your phone at least 2 hours before me...![]()
Im sure manchester being a large city, it will open up early! Cant wait to get mine, not sure wether 2 charge it when i get home or while im at work!
I've just been into the O2 store in High Wycombe and they have a sign up about the new iPhone. The sign says that the iPhone is available on 11 July, however the interesting bit is the small print at the bottom. The small print says 8Gb iPhone only and then the usual bit about subject to terms and conditions, contract etc.
The way I read it was that it is only the 8Gb available on the 11th. Maybe I read it wrong but I ding think so.
I think you have got your wires crossed. I think the "8GB only" refers to the fact the posters say the iPhone is free on selected tariffs. That's because the 16GB isn't free on any tariff, its at least £59.
Its free on the £75 one isnt it?

I've said this in another thread, but a O2 manager mate of mine also told me that the 16 gigs wouldnt be there on launch. weird!
That'll be the one! haha!
I don't know what's come over me it seems I'm turning into a French grammar nazi as well.![]()
I'm starting to think O2 are now taking the stance of, lets see how many customers we can actually get through the door on July 11th, with all this PAYG model flailing, and then we'll try and sell contracts to those unlucky few.
I think you hit the nail on the head there. You arrive eager on the day and it's "sorry no PayG" and come out with a contract.
I just blame my Hayfever meds.
