Hi,
I spend a lot of time travelling outside the UK and I have other sim cards from the relevant countries. I'm bored with the high international bills but I've no intention of leaving my O2 UK contract, so I asked O2 to unlock the phone, so I can use these other cards when required.

However, I've now noticed that since unlocking the phone it drops the O2 connection a lot, some times taking a few minutes to regain signal.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks

Matt

I got mine unlocked also, but I haven't noticed any difference in the signal.

I would try this:
- see if the problem exists when you are somewhere else - it could be just a temporary problem with your local tower capacity
- if it is not local, do a restore through iTunes

I am un locked too and O2's signal is as rubbish as it has always been.

As soon as my contract is up I am back to Vodafone as it is the only provider for rural Scotland.
