I can't find a post regarding this query. If there is one, can one point me in the right URL?
I know my iPhone doesn't have 3G. But let's say if I take out the simcard and put it in a 3G compatible handset, can I get 3g surfing speed?

Well, technically, when the 3G iPhone comes out, if you updated to it, then yes.
Whether you could do it on someone else's 3G iPhone I don't know.
